As most of you are aware of, Motivation High School has been collaborating with Harrisburg University in order to provide Dual enrollment opportunity to our scholars. Dual enrollment helps students reduce future college costs by earning college credits during the High School and it is free for our scholars. Because of this special programs that connect our scholars to the workplace and community leaders in the region, they will graduate ready to make an excellent start in their career.

At Harrisburg University, high school sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for dual enrollment. In our school, we will offer you this opportunity based on your academic performance in the past and your willingness to take this amazing opportunity
WHERE ARE DUAL ENROLLMENT CLASSES HELD?
Harrisburg University offers several this options for dual-enrollment courses:
One of this option is: Courses offered at select high schools during the academic year and Motivation is one of them.
HOW MUCH DOES DUAL ENROLLMENT COST?
If you are taking this class at Motivation High School, you do not have to pay anything. School District of Philadelphia is paying this cost for you this in some schools including Motivation High School.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN AP CLASS AND DUAL ENROLLMENT?
Advanced Placement (AP) students prepare for college by experiencing college-level coursework taught by high school faculty. Students may receive college credit for the course if they score high enough on the AP exam. Dual-enrolled high school students are taught by university professors or High School teacher authenticated to teach at college level by HU admin team. Students earn college credits the same way a college student would, by taking and passing a college course.
IS HARRISBURG UNIVERSITY COURSE CREDIT TRANSFERABLE TO OTHER COLLEGES?
Yes, Harrisburg University is an accredited university, so its courses transfer to other institutions. Depending on the college and the course of study, a Harrisburg University course may transfer as a general education course, a major requirement or an elective. If a student earns a C or higher, the course and credit can be transfer (Depending on the College)
DOES DUAL ENROLLMENT GUARANTEE ME ADMISSION TO HU?
Yes, if you have successfully passed and received credit for a dual enrollment course from the university and with verification of your high school graduation you are admitted to Harrisburg University.
